The customer
The customer is a European real estate agency with an office in a downtown area. The office layout features open-plan workspaces, a meeting room, and several breakout rooms. The company’s management was focused on boosting their team’s productivity and creating the best ergonomic workspace possible. The office wasn’t equipped with a smart ventilation system, but the management wanted to keep employees informed about the indoor climate.
Brimit’s solution
Brimit equipped the customer with a state-of-the-art IoT air quality monitoring system—a hardware and software solution that enables building owners and residents to monitor air quality and notifies them about changes in air quality parameters automatically.
The system comprises a set of devices that can be integrated seamlessly with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Most of our devices feature both corded and cordless power supply, greatly simplifying installation. If the interior of a building is finished, a battery-powered option—with a battery life of up to two years—can be used to preserve the interior.
Our devices are equipped with reliable sensors for monitoring the following parameters:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Air pressure
- CO2, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), PM2.5, PM10, and cigarette smoke levels
Also, the system enables remote telemetry monitoring, empowering users to take action to improve air quality.
The system can be equipped with other types of sensors on demand. Besides reading data and sharing it with HVAC systems, our devices display information about air quality and any additional messages on a built-in e-ink display. The device also comes with the option to turn on audible alerts if necessary.
Once the system was installed in the customer’s office, the agency’s team was able to ventilate the space more efficiently, improving employees’ morale, productivity, and overall well-being.
The benefits of Brimit’s indoor air quality monitoring system
- Cost-effectiveness and scalability. Installing and replacing our devices won’t break the bank. The system can be customized for spaces of different sizes—from studio apartments to large production sites.
- No vendor lock-in. Our devices work with other vendors’ software and hardware according to industry-standard protocols.
- High connectivity. The system can connect OOTB with other building management systems, such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or smart home management software.
- Simple to install. Both corded and cordless power supply options are available for most of our devices.
